The Togean Islands National Park took an active role in the success of the Coastal Coastal Clean activities initiated by the Una-Una District Government.
The activity was carried out in the Togean Islands National Park Hall Area (BTNKT), which is in front of the old market of Wakai Village, Section I of Wakai National Park Management Region on Friday from 07.00 WITA to finish. The form of activities carried out is cleaning up the coast.
The implementation of this activity was attended by Ir. Bustang (Head of the TNKT Office), accompanied by the Head of the Sub-District Administration Unit and the Head of the Lebiti Region II SPTN and the Region III Popolii SPTN, the BTNKT staff and related stakeholders namely the Una-Una District Government was attended by the Una-Una Sub-District Head, the Kapolsek, the Coordinator of the Wakai Ferry Port, and BTNKT Staff community around Wakai Village with a total number of participants ± 100 people.
The Clean Beach theme that is carried this time is Let's Not Throw Trash in the Sea Because The Sea Is Not a Trash. The results of clean beaches in the TNKT SPTN region I of Wakai Village, Una-Una District, obtained as much as ± 10 tons of garbage.
The rubbish that has been collected is collected into one and then transported using a garbage car to be taken to the Final Disposal Site (TPA) located in Lembanya Village, Una-Una District. Issues related to waste pollution at sea are more complex and are of concern to the public and the Indonesian government. On the other hand, the Government consistently continues to develop the tourism sector and the transportation infrastructure of inter-island transportation in Indonesia, known as the Sea Toll. This development policy must be supported by environmental conditions that are clean of waste, especially in coastal and marine areas, said Bustang. Ir. Bustang also appealed to the community around the market in Wakai Village to dispose of waste in a place that has been provided so that the collected garbage is taken by the sub-district to the final disposal site so that the garbage does not accumulate around the market anymore ..
