let me introduce i myself, my name is eko harwanto, i am a freelance tour guide in south sulawesi.
i have been working in tourism industry more than 18 years.
i start my job as an airport representative for one of tours agent in makassar namely Caraka Travelindo. i worked there only for 1 years. loved talking with several clients from different nationality, in case the client had a problem with their flight ticket or luggage lost at the airport, me i would love to solve the problem. staying at the airport from the morning until night time had forced me to endeep my english and french language.
after 1 year working at the airport than i change my job to be an english and french speaking guide.
do you know why that in south sulawesi there were a lots of french tourist ?
the answer is because in france you will find some similarity with the culture in toraja land.
in toraja land you will see standing stone like megalith, and in the region of bretagne west of france you will find same thing, this seems to be strange.
france people like the tradition and the culture. and toraja has it all to offer.
as a french speaking guide, it made me feel great and happy with the beauty of the language.
